Important: AlarmCat needs the system Alarms permission to wake you at the time you set. Without it, an alarm cannot ring reliably.

Turn on alarm permission

  1. Open the AlarmCat prompt and tap Open Settings.
  2. In Settings, tap Apps, then choose AlarmCat.
  3. Tap Alarms and turn on Allow Alarms.
  4. Return to AlarmCat and create or enable the alarm again.

Notifications and advance reminders

Notifications are optional and are used only for advance reminders that you choose to enable. They are separate from the system alarm permission. To change them later, open Settings → Apps → AlarmCat → Notifications.

Choose a wake-up task

When creating an alarm, choose the wake-up flow that fits the day. A math task asks you to solve a short problem; a game task asks for a quick interaction; the simple flow lets you confirm you are awake without a challenge. You can change the task when editing an alarm.

Morning Light points and Mochi

Complete a wake-up task to receive Morning Light points. Use them to feed Mochi and explore the pet experience. Points are part of your local app progress, not a cash balance and not a purchase.

Home Screen widget

Add the AlarmCat widget from the iPhone Home Screen: touch and hold an empty area → tap + → search for AlarmCat → choose a size → tap Add Widget. The widget shows your next alarm and a small Mochi update.

Backup and restore

Alarm settings, wake-up history, Morning Light points, Mochi state and preferences are stored on your device. You can optionally use the in-app iCloud backup and restore flow. AlarmCat does not provide real-time cloud sync.

Accessibility

AlarmCat supports Dynamic Type and VoiceOver labels across the primary alarm, wake-up and settings flows. If an element is hard to use, please tell us the screen name and your accessibility setting so we can improve it.
